As you can tell by the title this post is going to be about the TV show "Penny Dreadful". Or maybe more about my obsession with it ...
I just love the movie! And who wouldn't? Especially if it's someone like me, inlove with the Victorian Gothic style. And honestly, I cannot name neither one thing that I don't like about this series. That atmosphere... the story, the actors, the beauty of the Victorian London... Everything is more than amazing! And I can continue describing how incredible everything is in there, but why should I do this since everyone can watch it and make sure about it by themselves ^^
My God and Goddess bless the woman who told me about it! Her name is Ralitza, she's the awesome person who's making those gorgeous jewelry - Aeternum Nocturne Gothic Jewelry.
Last year, the day we did the photoshoot for the "Gothic and Amazing" magazine with the amazingly talented photographer Antonia Glaskova, I asked her to tell me some movies to watch because seriously, I think I've watched all of the horror movies out there (all the bad and the good ones). And she recommended me "Penny Dreadful". Well, at first when I saw the trailer I was skeptical. It's not like those terrifying horror movies I used to and love to watch (not the ones with a lot of blood and people killing each other for no reason, but those about paranormal things - ghosts, demons, haunted places, etc. I seriously couldn't sleep after watching some of them but that's the thing, I want to feel something when I watch a movie (or something else), no matter if it's fear, horror, laughter, sadness; I want emotions, I want it to adrenalize me; but most of the movies are very boring for me).
But anyway, after couple of months I decided to give it a try. And then I was shocked! Literally, I fell in love with it from the very first episode of the very first season. There's sadness, there's happiness from time to time, horror at times, a lot, a lot of emotions and everything is so beautifully captured...
Thank you Rali! Love you for that, woman ❤!
(and not only for that, of course )
The third season is on air right now. New episodes every Sunday. Which means that I have wait a whole week until the next episode and then one more week for the next one and for the next one... and then for another one... Damn it, I feel like a drug addict going through withdraw
...yeah, I know, it's not funny.
So, recently I've made couple of shots, inpired by the TV series. Two of them old-looking, like from the 19th century, like from the movie ^^
(And yeah, without makeup I look like a 10 year-old girl Seriously, can give me 20 years here?
And ok, to be completely honest, I'm almost without makeup; I have some powder, contouring, mascara aaand... eyebrows of course )
Hope you gonna like them ^^ Tell me your opinion
